Tennessee Titans - 2006 Preseason Analysis With the departure of Steve McNair as quarterback, Billy Volek is set to start the season as their starting guy. The Tennessee Titans drafted Vince Young, the quarterback from Texas, as their future starting quarterback. It might be sooner than expected with Volek now the starter however. The truth is, if Volek doesn’t shine like the star of Texas, Vince Young might find himself in the starting lineup. The Titans also drafted RB Lendale White, from USC, to take over the backfield. He will be a good running back over time, but there is a lot to expect out of him in his rookie year and he could very well crack under the pressure. Of course, the best way to learn to swim is to thrown in the water! During free agency, the Tennessee Titans went out and got a few veterans to work with their younger guys. Wide receiver David Givens, from the New England Patriots was picked to join Drew Bennett and Tyrone Calico. They also went out and got six-time Pro Bowler Kevin Mawae, which will be a great addition to the Titans’ team. If they have their way with it, the Tennessee Titans will have one of their best seasons in years. However, everything must come together just right and everyone knows how hard that can be, especially in Tennessee.
