Oakland Raiders - 2006 Preseason Analysis Receiver Randy Moss and Jerry Porter will produce big numbers this year, as always. They likely love the fact that they are working with a talented player like Aaron Brooks. However, they will not be the only people in the equation on whether or not the Oakland Raiders will have a winning season. If they were the only variables, the team would be winners for sure, but they are not. New coach Art Shell has the team morale very high and has already coached the Raiders from 1989-1994. So, he feels comfortable there which means the players will likely feel more comfortable with him in that respect. His long career in the NFL is something to be respected as well. The running back situation should be a nice battle between LaMont Jordan and Rod Smart who was picked up from the Carolina Panthers. With both of them being talented players, there is no telling who will come out on top. They will both likely love sharing the load however and having someone to fall back on. Defense will be questionable at best being led by has-been Warren Sapp. Sapp, who was once one of the greatest defensive players in the NFL organization, has failed to produce the record plays in the past few years. Many people feel as if he should just retire at this point, but he pushes on.
