Cincinnati Bengals - 2006 Preseason Analysis With star quarter back Carson Palmer, who had a devastating knee injury in their playoff game last year, unmentioned much, it is yet to be seen how he has fared in the offseason. The fans are curious to know if Palmer will be ready to start this year, but with Cincinnati being quiet on the issue, things likely are not that good. Rudi Johnson, running back, continues to get better every year. For the last couple of years he has really brought his A game and he is expected to do the same this year for the Bengals. If Carson Palmer comes back a little weaker than expected, Rudi Johnson will have to work extra hard to help his team score. Wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh hopes Palmer will be ready to build on what they started last year as well. So, overall the big question surrounding the Cincinnati Bengals is whether their star starting quarterback will be able to play or not. Without him, the team might lose confidence and their ability to have a better year than last year. So, for the sake of the whole team and their fans, everyone hopes Palmer is nearly recovered and ready to start the season.
