2007 Past Results

June 8, 2007 - 2-0 YESTERDAY!!

Detroit Tigers -119 over New York Mets (2.0 Units) - This is a big go-against game against the Mets. Their offense is playing bad. They just got swept at home and there is very little reason to believe they can go on the road in an interleague game and do well. That would be ludicrous.

Texas Rangers +129 over Milwaukee Brewers (1.0 Units) - The Brewers have been great all season but have been struggling a little bit lately. Besides, they are 4 games below 500 on the road. So they are just mediocre. And if you consider home teams in interleage games do very well, the Rangers should be closer to even money.

June 7, 2007 - Colorado Rockies +132 over Houston Astros (1.0 Units) - We like the Colorado Rockies because they are 3-1 L4 games and because this is their last home game in a long streak before they head off on the road in interleague play. They will play their hearts out.

San Francisco Giants +116 over Arizona Diamondbacks (1.0 Units) - The Giants have not been playing well and Noah Lowry is just the guy to bring them back. He is a lefty and is 5-1 in his career against the Dbacks.

June 1, 2007 - We actually like the Yankees today on the road as a dog. They got swept at home against the Red Sox and now it is their time to return the favor. You saw that the Yankees offense showed a bit of a sign of coming back and improving recently. EasyBaseballBetting.com has the OVER as its play of the day. The website is having technical troubles so I am posting it here.

May 29, 2007 - We want to take the Toronto Blue Jays again based on the fact that these Yankees are in a downward spiral.

May 28, 2007 - Toronto Blue Jays +130 over New York Yankees (1.5 Units) - We are making piles of cash betting against the Yankees this season and there is very little reason to believe that these Yankees can bounce back from being swept. Well, in any case the spread in this game benefits us because we are getting an above 500 home team playing these Yankees who are terrible on the road and had to travel. M. De Salvo pitching for the Yankees and he is not exactly flattering either.

May 27, 2007 - The Angels are going to get a sweep today very easily. We are not going to buy into the hype that these Yankees are immune from being swept at home. Look, Mussina is horrible this season and Lackey is on the verge of a Cy Young award. Both teams are in opposite directions and we get to take the Angels as +130. Easy play to make.

May 22, 2007 - The Boston Red Sox are totally being undervalued today. At +160, they are a great bet. Mike Mussina has not been having a good year and these Red Sox will be looking to take advantage.

May 19, 2007 - Take the Orioles and Devil Rays today.

May 18, 2007 - Take the New York Mets close to even money. The thing about it is that these Mets are taxed with having to play so often. They have played 3 games in 2 days and now they have to travel. This is an interleague game and the home team benefits from it.

May 16, 2007 - We recommend a pick on the Seattle Mariners against the Los Angeles Angels. The Angels have not been very successful on the road this season and Lackey is coming off two of his worst starts of the season. The starts were not so bad but the Mariners are coming off a great hitting performance. Ichiro was 5 for 5 and we expect more great things from the M's.

May 13, 2007 - Take the Houston Astros at -130. They scored 10 runs yesterday and we expect them to continue on an offensive roll at home.

May 12, 2007 - Well, we like these Blue Jays today -125 over the Tampa Bay Devil Rays for 1.0 Units. These Devil Rays are slumping right now and the Blue Jays kind of broke out of a slump. Statistically, teams that break out of slumps after long losing streaks actually come back and WIN their following game.

May 11, 2007 -

Los Angeles Dodgers over Cincinnati Reds (1.0 Units) - These Dodgers are leading their division. While the loser Reds are slumping along and are 3-7 L10 games.

St. Louis Cardinals +185 over San Diego Padres (1.0 Units) - This is a great spread on a team that has won 2 consecutive games and going up against a team that has lost 3 straight. Betting on streaking teams with this kind of spread is value regardless of pitcher.

May 8, 2007
Chicago White Sox +105 over Minnesota Twins (1.0 Units)
- We do not bite into the hype that the Twins are good at home. Not this season. They need to do a better job at home before we give them the credit they deserve. In the current homestand, they are not even averaging 2 runs a game. And on the other hand, the White Sox are doing quite well for themselves.

May 6, 2007 - Tigers at [-101] versus Royals
Blue Jays at [-120] versus Rangers

May 4, 2007 - Sorry for posting these picks late (3:50PM)... We are going for the Astros and the Devil Rays. Both are underdogs that we feel should be even money. The Cardinals are not very good against right handed pitching and we feel that they will struggle today to score. Then we like the Devil Rays because they are at home and playing well.

May 3, 2007 - A perfect 3-0 yesterday. Fantastic job for us. Two of those picks were heavy favorites so it is not so impressive as you might think. As for today, we were leaning on taking the Giants again but the spread is just a bit too strong for us. But for today there are no picks we like.

May 2, 2007 - We like two favorites today and an underdog. We like the Mets. This is because they are fending off a home series sweep with a pretty damn good lefty pitcher. And the Marlins do not hit lefties well. Then we are going for the Giants. They are doing well offensively and Barry Zito figures to pitch very well today against the Rockies. The Cubs as an underdog also deserves a consideration.

May 1, 2007 - We hope to have a successful May just as we had a successful April. And for today, there really is only one play you should make on the board. That is the Atlanta Braves +118 over the Philadelphia Phillies. The Phillies are 0-3 when Hamels faces a divisional rival. He did shutout the Braves earlier in the season but the Phillies blew the game anyways. But this will help the Braves as they will have familiarity with the young pitcher.

April 30, 2007 -

San Francisco Giants -142 over Colorado Rockies (1.0 Units) - The Rockies are just not very good against lefties nor are they very good on the road.

April 29, 2007 - The easiest and only play on the board that is necessary to make today is the Boston Red Sox +174 over the New York Yankees. There is a lot of value in this play because of Wang's start and Tavarez.

April 28, 2007
Cleveland Indians over Baltimore Orioles (2.0 Units)
- The Indians are scoring loads of runs in each of their past several games and the Orioles are putting up a pitcher that struggles on the road, not only this season but last season as well. With the Indians on a 6 game winning streak and the spread at a modest -130 range, this makes for an easy play.

April 27, 2007 -

San Diego Padres +101 over Los Angeles Dodgers (1.5 Units) - This is a very average bet today. It is not based on the raw strength in the game as much as it is on the fact that we always bet on the Padres as a home dog against the Dodgers. They are 14-5 in this position over the past 5 years and +15 units over the prior 9 years. The Padres have ruined the Dodgers for a long time.

Chicago Bulls -6 over the Miami Heat (2.0 Units) - Game of the Month

In addition to our picks, we like both of the picks at EasyBaseballBetting.com so we will let you look at their analysis for those games because they say pretty much what we would say. >> MORE.

-----------------------------------------------------

April 26, 2007 - Toronto Blue Jays +147 over New York Yankees (1.0 Units) - We might as well stick with the same pick as we had yesterday. The game yesterday was postponed. Read our analysis and our reasoning for betting this game is similar. In fact, the bet is better today than it was yesterday because the Yankees had an extra day off. Days rest is okay in basketball and football but in baseball it is bad for team's on a losing streak. The slumps just worsen. Besides Philip Hughes is getting the start tonight and he has been having a really bad minors. He is not the answer to their prays for pitching.

April 25, 2007 -

  • Toronto Blue Jays +167 over New York Yankees (1.0 Units) - We love this play because the Yankees just got swept on the road by the Devil Rays. And the Blue Jays just swept the Red Sox. Basically we are watching two teams on very different paths with respect to momentum and this is a value play for us. The only reason we do not bet more on this game is because the Yankees offense has still been pretty good. The best way to get yourself out of a slump is when your hitting does well and the only way the Yankees have a shot at winning is with their hitting. Because I think it is pretty obvious their pitching is AA quality. Check out the EasyBaseballBetting.com's stat sheet on this game.

April 24, 2007 - No picks for today. But EasyBaseballBetting.com is choosing the Red Sox as its game of the month. Read their analysis at their April 24 picks page.

April 23, 2007 - We went a moderate 3-2 yesterday. Losing out on our bigger plays of the day. Damn Padres did not hit well. And damn White Sox for blowing it in extra innings. Oh well. Today is a new day and we are sitting all over another underdog for you.

  • Cleveland Indians +111 over Minnesota Twins (1.0 Units)
    • Basically, we've decided to take the Indians again today. We like them as an underdog today and we also like the fact that the Twins are coming off of a series loss against the Royals! I mean the Royals for crying out loud. The only problem is that these Twins are historically a very good home team and we hate betting against them at home. But this is an opportunity for us to steal a game.

April 22, 2007 - We keep on winning. Yesterday, we went 2-0 easily but dropped again in the rankings. This time to #4. So two days ago, we were sitting pretty at #2. Went 5-1 and now we are #4. We don't make nearly as many plays as the other guys but our picks have the best value. And today you are in for a treat because here are 5 picks.

  • 2.0 Units to win on the Padres at [-105] versus Rockies
    • We backed the Padres yesterday because they were in an offensive tear, the spread was out of whack, and they are divisional rival, and the Rockies were not playing so great. Nothing changes, except this time they have Greg Maddux on the mound. So they should win easier.
  • 1.0 Units to win on the Pirates at [121] versus Dodgers
    • The Dodgers have not faced a left handed starter for almost 10 days now. This bodes well for Gorzelanny a little bit and should slow down the Dodgers offense.
  • 1.0 Units to win on the Orioles at [104] versus Blue Jays
    • Picking them for the same reasons as yesterday.
  • 2.0 Units to win on the White Sox at [146] versus Tigers
    • You have got to be kidding me. These White Sox should not be +146. I don't care who is on the mound for the Tigers. This is a divisional rivalry game. I think the problem here is that far too many people think the Tigers are due today and will break the sweep. But in a 3-game series, a team up 2-0 has a better chance at getting the sweep.
  • 1.0 Units to win on the Indians at [-109] versus Devil Rays
    • The Devil Rays are fun to bet against if we find the right spots.

April 21, 2007 - 3-2 with our underdogs yesterday!! Above 50% picking underdogs... We are doing great so far this season. Despite our strong performance yesterday, we dropped down to the #3 spot at the Monitor. But its okay because we are the only free site where you can get your picks all baseball season.

  • 1 unit to win on the Orioles at [-111] versus Blue Jays
    • The Orioles are at home and they should continue on their offensive tear. Averaging over 5 runs their past 5 games.
  • 1 unit to win on the Padres at [105] versus Rockies
    • The Padres are in an offensive tear. Two straight games over 10 runs. Today should bode well for them because you are getting a lot of value by taking them as a dog.

April 20, 2007 -

  • Houston Astros +159 over Milwaukee Brewers (2.0 Units)
    • We are going to back a divisional rival underdog this huge any day. Especially one that just swept its opponent.
  • Arizona Diamondbacks +101 over San Francisco Giants (1.0 Units)
    • Only bet on the Dbacks if they are an underdog.
  • Kansas City Royals +110 over Minnesota Twins (1.0 Units)
    • We said we wouldn't post our "Royals" plays. We lied. Bet on them because it has been almost 2 weeks since they played at home. And traditionally these Royals do very well in the first game of a series. Even last year.
  • Tampa Bay Devilrays +151 over Cleveland Indians (1.0 Units)
  • Oakland Athletics +107 over Texas Rangers (1.0 Units)
    • Falls into an underdog betting system for a divisional rival game.

April 19, 2007 - Very successful day for us yesterday. We went 2-1 here with the picks that we posted on our website but we also picked the Royals as you can see from the sports monitoring site >>PAGE. Last year we did horrendous when we picked the Royals. Even though we had a very successful year last year, our picks on the Royals turned off a lot of visitors and they left. We have emails to prove it. A typical email was "your picks are good but why do you F$$@(ers keep picking the Royals.."... Well nobody is putting a gun to your heads to make the picks that we post on our site but at the same time we want to appeal to the masses and we want people to discover us. So we are not going to post picks on the Royals on this site :-) ...

Today, we have two picks.

  • Houston Astros +130 over Cincinnati Reds (1.5 units) - We are picking the Astros for many of the same reasons as we picked them yesterday. I mean they are a divisional rivalry dog. Everybody hits the Reds well. Even Arroyo and Harang are not that great. Remember these scrubs were #4 starters in the American League for their respective clubs. They had decent years last year but it was their first year in the NL and there was not a lot of familiarity with them. The Astros should not be this big a dog. Yesterday's game proves that.
  • Arizona Diamondbacks +165 over San Diego Padres (1.5 Units) - Yes, these Diamondbacks are definitely worth a bet. We admit they do not have the highest percentage chance of winning today, the odds kind of indicate that. But they are not as bad as +165ish. We admit that Jake Peavy can be dominant but the Padres are struggling to score runs. Over their past 4 games, they have averaged a little bit over 3 runs a game for an impressive 1-3 record. As we always say, good pitching is good to have but when you cannot score runs, it is about as useless as virgin's condom... Good luck folks.

April 18, 2007 - Yesterday, we went 3-1. It would have been nice if the Marlins cashed not only to make a 4-0 day but because they were +183. Today we have 4 picks for you gentleman. We are going to start doing a better job at providing our analysis for the games and mentioning the units to play, etc... in due time. We just have a lot of flux right now with it being the beginning of the season and all and trying to get our websites fixed up.

The daily statistical reports with which we retrieve a lot of our information come from EBB Stat Sheets. Starting today, we will be consolidating the skills of EBB with NFLSystems to make picks.

  • Washington Nationals +128 over Philadelphia Phillies (2.0 Units)
    • The Phillies begin their road trip today while the Nationals stay at home. Both teams are not very good and both teams do not have that great of a pitcher starting on the mound so we are going to take the nice odds set here in this game.
  • Houston Astros +123 over Cincinnati Reds (1.5 unit)
    • Take the Astros because they are a divisional rival dog. The Reds have been successful this season but not because they are that great of a team but because they smack the heck out of the ball. And those types of teams struggle as a favorite.
  • Pittsburgh Pirates +115 over Milwaukee Brewers (2.0 units)
    • Teams struggle against lefties early in the season and when you are a divisional rival underdog with a lefty on the mound, things are on your side.

    ------------------

April 17, 2007 - Very lovely to go 2-1 yesterday. Nice easy winner on those Tigers. We had them run line as well. Betting against the Royals has been $$$ this year... :-) ... Okay today we got a lot of picks.

Toronto Blue Jays +135 over Boston Red Sox (2.0 Units) - We feel that Matsuzaka is a mighty fine pitcher. Or at least will be. But come on. Why should he be sitting at -150 on the road in a divisional rivalry game. Beside the Blue Jays are playing decent baseball this season. Wrong odds and this is a value play.

Oakland Athletics -108 over Los Angeles Angels (2.0 Units) - Too much hype surrounding Jered Weaver. Last year he was good but come on, he is struggling through a bit of injuries and he is no longer the unknown kid. So that is one reason the odds are off in this game. Then factor in the poor Angels offense. I don't care if you have Cy Young resurrected from the dead to pitch today, when you cannot score runs, you will not win. And the Angels offense stinks.

Florida Marlins are another pick.

Our fourth pick is on the San Diego Padres.

April 16, 2007 - Bet on the Tigers, Giants, and Diamondbacks. Tigers are coming home off a tough 1 run loss against a sorry Royals team. Verlander has been impressive this season. Easy win. The Giants and Diamondbacks are just good underdog bets.

April 15, 2007 - Yesterday, we registered the Twins on the Money Line and on the Run Line and went an easy 2-0. Today though we are going to do something we have not done before all season. And that is... bet an over/under. But this pick will not be registered at the monitoring site. Well, actually, we have not made up our minds because totals are not our strong point. But basically the pick is to take the New York Mets to go OVER 9 runs today. The Mets games have been going under and with them the hugest favorite of the season, things seem to bode well for the over because neither pitcher is really all that impressive. Check out the daily statistics report at Easy Baseball Betting.

April 14, 2007 - CURRENTLY #2 MLB Capper at the National Sports Monitor.... Check out our monitor page at the National Sports Monitor for proof of our baseball record.

Today we just have one pick so far and it is on the Minnesota Twins for the following reasons....

  • Strong home field advantage, 54-29 +17 units at home last year. +35 units the previous 5 seasons.
  • The Devil Rays faced a lefty yesterday and are today going to have to face a righty. We have a pitching orientation issue at effect here today, read more about it at Bounce-back Game (Pitcher Orientations)

April 13, 2007 -
We are going to take Seattle Mariners as our home dog of the week. Yes, they are coming into this series off a win while their opponent is coming into the series off a loss. That is 1 good thing about the Mariners. The other thing is that these Mariners have not been playing everyday and are anxious to get back home. Our second pick is on the Boston Red Sox as a home dog of +113. The Red Sox are a tough team at home if they are off a loss. They have not had a losing season in the past few years when they are in that spot. Not only that, it is rare for the Red Sox to be pitted as a home dog but they are +14 units as a home dog in that spot. So the Red Sox are a mighty fine treat. Our third pick is on the St. Louis Cardinals. They are a mighty fine home dog versus a divisional rival. And things seem to bode well for them today because they are on a winning streak.

April 12, 2007 - No picks.

April 11, 2007 - St. Louis Cardinals -133 over Pittsburgh Pirates (2.0 Units) - The Cardinals represent everything we avoid when we bet baseball. We avoid road favorites in divisional rivalry games. We avoid teams hitting on lefties early in the season. And we trying to avoid road teams in general early in the season. But the Cardinals are falling into a very profitable betting system early in the season that wins at a great rate.

April 10, 2007 - No picks for today.

April 9, 2007 - The borderline picks we had yesterday won!!! Too bad we were too chicken to bet them. hehe. Well anyways, we got two favorites for you on tap today. And that is to go with the Toronto Blue Jays against the Kansas City Royals in your first game. And for your second game to bet on the Los Angeles Dodgers against the Colorado Rockies. Basically, we will be going against two pretty bad road teams. Home teams dominate early in the season and it should be no different today as you see these bad teams will struggle early.

April 8, 2007 - Another nice winner yesterday but today there will be no pick for you guys. If you must make a bet, we feel the following plays are borderline: Braves, Twins. But there are situational problems with these bets. The Braves are facing a tough pitcher in El Duque who fares very well against the Braves. Then you have the Twins who are too huge a favorite on the road against a divisional rival. I don't care who is on the mound for them (Santana) it should not be the case.

April 7, 2007 - Looking to get back to our winning ways with a strong pick on the Florida Marlins today. You must realize that the Marlins fall into a really strong betting system of ours that involves betting AGAINST certain divisional rivals early in the season. Basically with the Marlins playing at home and Dontrelle on the mound, they are going to be a tough team to beat.

April 6, 2007 - No picks for today.

April 5, 2007 - Check out our monitor page at the National Sports Monitor for proof of our baseball record. Any time. Today we only have two picks for you folks. Washington Nationals and Detroit Tigers.

Washington Nationals +115 are the team to bet on because they are coming off a strong win at home yesterday and should be able to funnel that energy into their very next game.

The Detroit Tigers -136 skipper always wanted to finish up a series strong because he believed a lot in momentum. With the series tied 1-1 and the Tigers having a lot of road games on deck. Look to see these Tigers play well.

----------------------------------------------------

(1-0) April 4, 2007 - We are a perfect 4-0 this season! Today we have an easy pick for you. It is to bet on the Washington Nationals. We are posting this play only about an hour before game time but we were waiting to see what the line movement did and basically still loved what we had. The Nationals were as high as +141, they dropped down a bit but are good odds. The Marlins have done well so far this season but did it against right handed pitching. It is unknown how they will do against lefties. This unknown combined with the fact that the Nationals do not want to get swept at home in their home opener series, will mean the Nationals are a good play.

(1-0) April 3, 2007 - We are picking the Seattle Mariners at home with -115 odds. This is an easy pick to make today considering the Oakland Athletics are being hyped up based on their performance last year. When in reality, they are actually quite horrible. They are the first and only team to be shut out this season and for the teams to be expected to bounce back after such a horrible start in the beginning of the season is ridiculous.

(3-0) April 2, 2007 - Play on the Atlanta Braves, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Kansas City Royals.
