NewOrleans (28-18) @ Boston (41-9)

We like Boston today simply because they are playing a New Orleans team that plays horrible as an underdog. Boston simply annihilates their opponents, especially against those who are 'quality' ones. It is one thing to demolish a team like the crappy Wizards, but this is magnified if such a team is 'good'. We know the C's will be up for this one as it will be on national television for all to see. Lay the 7 points with one (if not) the best team in the league at home under the national spotlight.

Chicago (22-28) @ Memphis (13-35)

Rarely do we back bad teams, but we will break this rule as the Memphis Grizzlies take on the equally struggling Chicago Bulls. The home team in this matchup is an astonishing 15-2 ATS and with the Bulls 1-7 ATS in Memphis, we like our chances with the lowly Grizz. Another great angle is recent, same season revenge between a Western and Eastern Team. With Chicago beating Memphis last month by the score of 96-86, we see the Grizz rebounding and demolishing the Bulls as an interesting 2 point home underdog.

Philadelphia (23-24) @ Cleveland (39-9)

This team is simply on a tear right now, beating teams by more than double digits in the past 10+ games. But, can that hold up? We think this team will fade today as they will face the Philadelphia 76ers in the second game of their Home-and-Home matchup. Usually, the team who lost the first game will quickly avenge the second game (and more importantly, cover the game). We likewise think that Cleveland games are now under the scrutiny of oddsmakers-and with this game being on a Friday, the oddsmakers are not about to open up the bank of LeBron this Friday. Be wary of the Cavaliers in this matchup as we know they will be a 10+ home favorite today and might very well lose this contest SU.

Do not trust these Lakers right now. Their offense is exceptional, but defensively, they are horrible right now. Although we usually back teams that are avenging a recent loss (especially divisional games), this Lakers squad right now is in peril. Laying 16.5 points with a team who is allergic to defense is always dicey. We advocate playing the Kings and would not be surprised at all if the Lakers lose this game as well.

The San Antonio Spurs absolutely own this team. The Spurs fall into several angles today and several ATS edges, including 7-3 ATS on 1 days rest, 7-3 L10 games, 7-3 L10 games against Minnesota, etc. We love backing teams with great defenses against those with questionable ones. Historically speaking, these Spurs have absolutely dominated these Timberwolves and with the favorite 12-5 L17 games in the series, it is a no-brainer to back these veterans.
