Week 16 ANALYSIS (Dec 17, 2006)

Pittsburgh Steelers -3.5 over Baltimore () - The Steelers are back at 7-7 on the season. They have a chance to sneak into the playoffs with wins against Baltimore and Cincinnati. Considering they lost 27-0 against Baltimore on November 26, 2006.... there is a lot of reason to believe these Steelers will be motivated and destroy the Ravens. I say you take the Steelers in a blowout. Lean: Pittsburgh.

Carolina Panthers @ Atlanta Falcons - At 6-4, these Panthers looked poised to return to the playoffs. Not even Steve Smith can one-man his team to the playoffs now. Two road games remaining on the season for these Panthers, they should pack it in. But wait a minute, an 8-8 record might still make the playoffs. These Falcons are giving up too many points on the road: 6.5 Therefore, we are leaning towards the Panthers. Lean: Panthers.

Indianapolis Colts @ Houston Texans - This game is huge for the Colts. I know the Texans are not a good team but they are home divisional rival dog. Besides, a loss here could put the Colts out of having a first round bye. That would be devastating to them. There is not even a lean in this game. Lean: NONE.

New England Patriots @ Jacksonville Jaguars - Both teams here have a lot to play for. The Patriots have a slight chance at a first round bye. The Jaguars need a win or two to sneak into the playoffs. The Jags are 6-2 out of their division. The Patriots are 5-1 on the road. This game can really go either way. Lean: NONE.

New Orleans Saints @ New York Giants - What is the matter with Yahoo sports. They feature the Saints as being the biggest success in the NFL. Ummmmm .. OKAY whatever. Go Chargers baby. Philip Rivers and Ladainian Tomlinson folks. Well, anyways, the odds here are in the Giants favor. 63% of the public is betting on these Saints as a 3 point dog. The Giants are the team to watch. Lean: Giants.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Cleveland Browns - Interconference games this late in the season are bad enough. But when it involves two teams that are not going anywhere, we cannot expect to bet on either team.

Tennessee Titans @ Buffalo Bills - A battle of two teams nodded up at 7-7. This is like a playoff game, the winner has a 5% chance to make the playoffs and the loser is going to seat home dead meat.

Washington Redskins @ St. Louis Rams - Boring game sitting right here. But the Rams are -1 with 63% of the betting action? That looks really strange to me!

Arizona Cardinals @ San Francisco 49ers - Is anybody going to watch this game? We are not even going to say anything about this game so we can spare you the trouble of having to watch it. The spread is too close for a bet anyways. No play.
