Week 15 ANALYSIS (Dec 17, 2006)

Dallas Cowboys @ Atlanta Falcons (Saturday) - These Cowboys have been a topsy turvy team all year. They began the first half of the season exactly 4-4. Their wins had always been impressive and people were assuming greatness from this team. 17 point win against Washington. 31 point win against Tennessee. 28 point win against the Houston Texans. 21 point win against Carolina. So even though they were only 4-4. The betting public loved them and still do. They had reeled off 4 straight wins and were playing on Sunday night on the national stage. Only to get whooped last week against New Orleans. How sad. So what does this mean for them? They will handily beat Atlanta. We do not even have to analyze Atlanta to know they will struggle. They have won two straight on the road but are coming off to play on one less day of rest. Their timing will be off at home. Lean: Dallas.

Detroit Lions @ Green Bay Packers - There isnot much to say about the Green Bay Packers. They lost their first 3 home games. And they have lost their last 2. 1-5 is horrible and will not cut it. These Lions are horrible on the road posting an impressive 0-6 record. So what do we expect out of the lions? Not much. We can kind of expect the Packers to win today. They do not want to go 1-6 at home, let alone having lost to Detroit. This game looks like a lean towards the Packers. Lean: Green Bay.

Houston Texans @ New England Patriots - New England is asserting their dominance again this season in the AFC East. The Houston Texans are also once against showing why they should all be shot for being so bad. I do not see Houston competing at all in this game especially because it is their last road game of the season, they have a rival in the Colts coming up next and they do not expect to win anyways. So why play hard on the road when you are expected to lose. The spread is a lot in this game but can we really expect the Patriots to win. Considering they came off an embarrasing shutout loss to a division rival... we say YES. Lean: New England.

Jacksonville Jaguars @ Tennessee Titans - Very impressive win for these Jaguars against the Colts last week. We predicted it. Now we predict them to have a fallout. They will struggle Sunday because the Titans are playing well, are at home. Should be a good game but we have no pick. Lean: None.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Chicago Bears - The Bucs are 1-6 L7 games. They have only managed 19 points total in the past 3 games. Their defense is not good. Their offense has never been good ever. Then you have a Chicago team that is lighing it up. Defensively they are stunning. Their defense helps them score a lot of points. I have trouble seeing any reason why they would lose considering they are playing at home and Tampa Bay is 0-6 on the road. They have two upcoming division rivalry games and they just clinched a playoff berth so those are possibilities. For these reasons, its hard to believe they would cover. Lean: No Pick.

Washington Redskins @ New Orleans Saints - Redskins took a tough loss to Philadelphia last week at home. They were underdogs and covered the spread but it still sucks to lose the game by 2 points. They do not have much to play for the rest of the season. Unless they have revenge against the Giants but even then, it is the last game of the season. They could come out not caring. The Saints, on the other hand, have playoff positioning to play for. They had a stretch where they went 1-3. Sucks playing the AFC North.. doesn't it? The AFC is easily far superior than the NFC. Because the Saints have something to play for, we will give them the lean. Lean: New Orleans Saints.

Denver Broncos @ Arizona Cardinals - These Broncos were on top of the world. They were 7-2 and looking as strong as they were last year. Home field advantage throughout the playoffs was within their grasp. Then they laid 4 eggs. Two of those losses to San Diego alone. Now they travel to the NFC West well known for having poor teams. These Broncos should be able to win handily. They have the determination and playoff hunt push they got to make. The Cardinals have nothing really to play for today. They have a division rival coming up and could possibly be looking ahead to that game. The only thing the Cardinals have to their advantage is that they are playing their final home game of the season. Lean: Denver.

Philadelphia Eagles @ New York Giants - Two straight wins and now the Eagles can sniff playoffs. They have a tough task this week in coming off a close nail biter against the Red Skins and travelling to the Giants. The Giants have home field advantage and are lookking to finish off the season strong. They got a win last week to snap a 4-game losing streak and we can see them getting one more win. Lean: Giants.

Kansas City Chiefs @ San Diego Chargers - Big game for both teams. This is a division rivalry matchup. But the Chargers are also playing to keep home field advantage in the AFC playoffs. The Chiefs are playing for playoff berth. The Chiefs should lose today. They beat the Chargers on 10/22 30-27. The Chargers have home field advantage and have all the revenge in the game. Lean: None.
