Week 13 Monday Night Football Picks

Philadelphia Eagles +3 over Carolina Panthers (2.0 Units) - This spread is all wrong even though the Eagles are in disarray (1-5L6). This should be a 'pickem game. The Panthers, instead, are favored by 3 points because it is Monday Night Football and all the money is pouring into the Panthers. The Panthers made the playoffs last year and I think most fans remember that. But what have they done this season? Their wins by 2, 3, 8, 2 to start the first half of the season do not exactly impress me. Their double digit wins against the Buccaneers and Rams is okay but keep in mind those teams are horrible and the Panthers were at home. On the road, these Panthers are not exactly world beaters. Only two victories and both only by 2 points. Very little reason to believe these Eagles will not be in the thick of things in the 4th quarter. We all know Donovan McNabb is out for the season and we all saw the Eagles get embarrased last week. But it was not their fault. They were going up against a Colts team that was coming off a loss. Now that they are on Monday night, they have a chance to redeem themselves in front of their home crowd. I expect the Eagles to win.
