Top 100 NFL Fantasy Players According to Our Statistics ($9.95)Florida State Seminoles vs. Kentucky Wildcats12/31/07 The depleted Florida State Seminoles face the downtrodden Kentucky Wildcats in this year’s edition of the Music City Bowl, to be held in LP field in Nashville, Tennessee. Oddsmakers initially made the Kentucky Wildcats 2 point favorites, but with the recent news of ineligible players, the line has shot to its current line of Kentucky –9. Florida State was once a program full of future NFL stars and a football program where top recruits salivated over. Now they are lucky to be in the state they are in. With an academic scandal rocking the program, and along with violation to team rules and injuries, the Seminoles will field a team minus 36 of its players. This is perhaps one of the most depleted teams in bowl history, but the author highly warns of betting against these types of teams. Las Vegas knows the extent of missing players, and the 7-point swing might ‘force’ people to bet against FSU, but this bet may seem to easy. Florida State is still a great team defensively, and with the Wildcat’s downward skid recently, the author would not trust laying that much wood to a struggling team in Kentucky. The Kentucky Wildcats are 2-5 straight up and against the spread in their last 7 games, and the author recommends not taking this favorite in this spot. Kentucky once had a magical season, but losses to South Carolina, Florida, Mississippi State, Georgia, and Tennessee have left them a shell of their former selves. They are now 7-5 straight up and 6-5 against the spread. Their defense has also been suffering, giving up 29.8 points and 390.2 yards to the opposition. The author sees a game where the unexpected may happen. But, the Seminoles inability to score points will leave losing this game, but covering. Take the points in this one. Game prediction: 19-12 Kentucky. |
