NBA Days Rest Betting Systems

Both teams tired? (67.0%)
System:
Go for any home team off a road game when both teams are playing off of 0 days rest when the opponent is coming off a road loss. Our team must be a dog or a favorite of less than 4 points.

Analysis:

The problem with laying points on a favorite that we know is going to win is whether or not they have the motivation or energy to beat the number. By limiting ourselves to playing teams with double revenge gives them the extra motivation to take on a team that is tired from having played the night before.

Record (Past 9 years): 59-29-1, 4-2 this year
Avg. margin of victory: 3.2 ppg

Revenge against the Tired. (60.1%)
System:
Go for a home team favorite with double revenge if its opponent is playing on 0 days rest.

Analysis:

We notice that the spread shift anywhere from 1-2 points against teams playing on 0 days rest. People have begun to use this as an effective handicapping tool in determining when teams are tired. However, when both teams are on 0 days rest, the spread does not get shifted in anybody's favor. This system indicates that there is a clear advantage for the home team in this type of a situation.

Record (Past 9 years): 86-57-3, 4-2 this year
Avg. margin of victory: 0.5 ppg
